About the Boylan Sisters

Meet the Boylan Sisters.  Andrea and Alexandra grew up as Pastor’s kids at Byfield Parish Church, north of Boston, Massachusetts.  As teens they always wished they could find movies they enjoyed and their parents would approve of.  Since 2013 the two have set out to make female driven, faith based movies that appeal to audiences of all ages.

Alexandra Boylan

Producer, Writer, Actor Co-Founder The Boylan Sisters and Mirror Tree Productions

Alexandra Boylan is a dynamic award-winning filmmaker, writer, producer, and actress who has been trailblazing through Hollywood for nearly two decades. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Boylan is known for her fearless pursuit of meaningful content. In addition to her numerous acting credits, Alexandra co-created The Boylan Sisters Production Company, a successful film studio that focuses on uplifting, positive, family-friendly content. Their first feature-length film, Catching Faith, streamed on Netflix for two years and has spawned a sequel, as well as paved the way for other critically acclaimed movies such as The Greatest Inheritance and Switched. Their latest venture, Identity Crisis, also serves as the basis for a YA novel, which she is co-authoring with her sister and business partner Andrea. Alexandra has previously published the widely regarded how-to guide entitled “Create Your Own Career in Hollywood: Advice from a Struggling Actress Who Became a Successful Producer” and is an active member of Women in Film Los Angeles.

Andrea M. Polnaszek

Andrea M. Polnaszek is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, filmmaker, producer, screenwriter and author, whose multifaceted career converges through the glory of God. With a Bachelor’s degree in Social work from Gordon College, a Master’s in Social Work and Certificate of Theology from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary she owns her own clinical practice. Andrea is the author of the internationally renowned “Elijah Project” book series, which has been translated into Spanish and Portuguese, Andrea’s ministry efforts continue to flourish as 500 mentors have led workshops based on its principles in Cuba alone.
Through her award-winning efforts as a screenwriter, director and filmmaker, Andrea uses the power of storytelling to teach mental wellness through relevant topics such as family communication, bullying, and mindfulness. In 2018, Andrea and her screenwriting team were honored with a Teddy for Best Inspirational Screenplay at the MovieGuide Awards. Her films, which she produces with her sister under their Boylan Sisters moniker, include Wish for Christmas, Catching Faith, Catching Faith 2, Switched, The Greatest Inheritance and Identity Crisis. Andrea is the proud mother of three. She loves taking walks around Lake Wissota with her husband Perry.
